Process For Shipping
Once we have received full payment for the vehicle we contact our shipping agent and arrange for the vehicle to be delivered to the shipping yard, We then organise the Booking & Reservation of Vessel Space, and safe keeping of vehicle & its documentation until boarding.

Typical documents/items provided include:
- CIF receipt of sale (commercial invoice describing unit & price) for tax purposes.
- Copy of the Vehicle Registration Document.
- MOT Certificate (Ministry of Transport).
- HPI Clearance Certificates (If Requested).
- Original copy of Bill of Lading with extra copies, necessary to collect vehicle at destination.
- Owner's Manuals and Service books are sent separately via DHL or Fed Ex.
FOB: Freight-On-Board/Free-On-Board. This is the cost of the vehicle excluding shipping and local taxes or charges. If you buy the vehicle at FOB price, either from Auction or SABE IMPORTS stock, it includes the vehicle cost and all expenses in Japan (except container packing).
CIF: Cost, Insurance and Freight. This is the cost of the vehicle including shipping and insurance. If you buy the vehicle at CIF price it includes all the expenses excluding local taxes and charges at the Port of Discharge.
T.T: Telegraphic Transfer. This is the best way to electronically transfer your deposit and final payment to us. It is fast, safe and effective. In most Countries this is also known as a Wire Transfer. Which can be done at all major banks.
Most Countries require the following documents for customs clearance:
Bill of Lading- This is used to collect the vehicle at the port and to prove you have ownership. It is very important, so it must be kept safe.
Invoice- You may need this to give to customs to pay import taxes.
Translation of Registration Certificate- We will translate the cancellation certificate into English or your preferred language.
We can arrange all the above documentation for you and also provide you with a clearance service at the Port of Discharge. Please contact us for further information.
